Journal entry:
April PAD Challenge, poem six:
Now Long Gone
His laugh infectious,
He hurried away
Quieting himself down
And hiding somewhere
Within the house.
We would then tell
Our Shih Tzu, Penny,
“Go find Alex!
Where is Alex?”
Off she would go.
Penny would prance
From place to place
Her head held high
Nose twitching
Until she found him.
Then she would bark
With unbridled joy
Because she had
Once again successfully
Found her boy.
Those days are hidden
Long in the past, only
Echoing memories remain
Penny is an old dog,
Alex a grown man.

Rose bushes…
Roses…
Roses…
Pansies…
Pansies…
Beautiful blooms…
Pansies…
I am grateful:
1. We had a safe trip to town.
2. It did not rain, despite being very overcast.
3. Dog toys were on sale at PetSmart and so was canned food.
4. I bought some Oreo Cookies.
5. Mom bought me some Easter candy.
I hope each of you had a great Good Friday. If you feel inspired do something creative and share it with the world.
Always,
Jo Ann
