Journal entry:
April Poem A Day Challenge, poem ten:
Growth Despite
A tree is supposed
To grow unfettered,
Strong and very tall
With outreaching limbs,
But our family tree
Is stunted with limbs
That have fallen away
Not clinging to the trunk.
There is hope those
Limbs might be grafted
Back in so the branches
Might again grow strong,
But there is no guarantee
The issues will be resolved,
So we build upon the limbs
That remain fully attached.

I am grateful:
1. Mom finds wonder in my writing.
2. I have some great friends.
3. I find encouragement in other’s work.
4. I did not overreact to negative news.
5. The chicken stir fry I prepared for supper was delicious.
I hope you had a great Tuesday. If you feel able do something creative.
Always,
Jo Ann
